Privacy Policy
RunMind AI is currently a prototype. Processing of Garmin Connect data will begin only after approval into the Garmin Connect Developer Program and the launch of the integration.
Legal details
These placeholder values are editable in this prototype and are stored only in your browser session view.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how RunMind AI ("we", "us") plans to collect, use, store and protect personal data when providing an AI-powered running analytics service. RunMind AI is currently in prototype development and does not yet process data from Garmin Connect.
2. Data we may collect
Account data: name, email address, password credentials and account preferences.
Activity data (after authorization): running activities, distance, duration, pace, heart rate, cadence, elevation, laps, activity timestamps and route data when the user authorizes it.
Derived data: performance scores, training load estimates, recovery indicators, race predictions and AI-generated summaries produced from activity data.
Technical data: log records, device and browser information, and security events required to operate the service.
3. How data will be obtained
Account data is provided directly by the user. Activity data will be obtained only through the official Garmin authorization flow, once the integration is approved, or through other sources the user explicitly connects or uploads.
4. Consent
Access to activity data depends on the user's explicit consent. Users review the requested permissions before authorizing, may decline authorization, and may revoke it at any time. Declining or revoking does not delete the account, but stops further data synchronization.
5. Purpose of processing
Data is processed to deliver running analytics: displaying activity history, calculating performance and recovery indicators, generating race predictions, producing AI summaries and personalized training insights, and providing account support and security.
Data is not used for advertising, ad profiling or audience targeting.
6. Storage
Data is stored on infrastructure operated by reputable cloud providers, with access restricted to authorized personnel who require it to operate or support the service.
7. Security
We apply technical and organizational safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, credential management, logging and periodic review of security practices. No system can guarantee absolute security, and we will notify users of relevant incidents as required by applicable law.
8. Retention
Activity data and derived analyses are retained while the account remains active and the authorization is valid. When an authorization is revoked or an account is deleted, the related data is deleted or irreversibly anonymized, except where retention is required by law.
9. Deletion
Users may delete imported activity data, generated analyses or the entire account at any time from Settings or by contacting us. Verified deletion requests are processed according to this policy and applicable law, and the user receives confirmation once completed.
10. Disconnecting Garmin
Once the integration is available, users will be able to disconnect their Garmin account from RunMind AI settings. Disconnection immediately stops future synchronization, and the user may additionally request deletion of previously imported data.
11. User rights
Depending on jurisdiction, users may have rights to access, rectify, delete, restrict or object to processing, request portability of their data, and withdraw consent at any time. Requests can be sent to the contact address listed above.
12. Sharing with service providers
We may share data with processors strictly required to operate the service, such as cloud hosting, database, email delivery, error monitoring and AI processing providers. These providers act under contractual obligations and may use the data only to perform services for RunMind AI.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it without authorization.
13. Use of artificial intelligence
AI models are used to summarize activity data and generate training insights. Outputs are informational and may contain inaccuracies. Personal data is not used to train publicly-available third-party foundation models without explicit consent.
14. Children
The service is not directed to individuals under the age required by their local law to consent to data processing, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
15. Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to the contact email listed in the legal details section above.
16. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the product evolves and as the Garmin integration is implemented. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email before taking effect.
